Indiana HS Boys Soccer Recap from Wednesday

Wednesday’s Indiana high school boys soccer schedule was lighter than Tuesday’s massive slate, but several ranked teams still produced noteworthy results around the state.

In Class 3A, #4 Castle delivered one of the most dominant performances of the night, rolling past Evansville Bosse 10-0. The Knights continued a strong start to the season while adding another convincing result to their résumé.

One of Wednesday’s biggest games came in Evansville, where #9 Evansville Memorial edged #15 Evansville North 2-1. Memorial picked up an important ranked victory and improved to 5-2-1, while handing the Huskies their second loss of the season.

There was another ranked matchup in Northeast Indiana, where 3A #10 Carroll defeated 2A #6 Leo 3-0. The Chargers’ defense kept Leo off the scoreboard as Carroll earned a quality cross-class victory.

Class 2A also featured strong performances from a pair of ranked teams. #7 Illiana Christian defeated Highland 3-1, while #15 Hanover Central rolled to a 7-0 victory over Hobart.

Among the unranked results, Northview produced one of Wednesday’s highest-scoring performances with an 8-1 victory over Sullivan. Huntington North shut out Columbia City 2-0, while Logansport earned a 1-0 victory over Hamilton Heights.

Northeast Dubois, ranked #7 in Class 1A, also had a big night offensively, defeating Vincennes Rivet 6-3.

Tipton and Twin Lakes provided one of the closest contests of the evening, battling to a 4-4 draw, while Providence recorded a 4-0 shutout of North Harrison.
