Hanover and Bellarmine Play to 1-1 Draw

The Division III Panthers of Hanover traveled to Louisville and earned a 1-1 draw against unbeaten Division I Bellarmine.
And Hanover wasted almost no time getting the Knights’ attention.
An own goal inside the opening minute gave the Panthers a 1-0 advantage.
Bellarmine eventually equalized during the first half when Teddy Franke converted a penalty kick for his third goal of the season.
But Hanover refused to break.
The Panthers held Bellarmine scoreless throughout the second half despite the Knights finishing with a 17-9 advantage in shots. Each team placed four shots on goal.
Bellarmine goalkeeper Benny Howard made three saves, all coming on difficult second-half opportunities according to Bellarmine’s official recap. Howard is particularly familiar with Hanover — he transferred to Bellarmine from the Panthers.
The result moves Hanover to 1-2-2, while Bellarmine remains unbeaten at 5-0-2.
