Goshen Reclaims 3A No. 1 as ISCA Boys Soccer Rankings Shift Across All Three Classes

The latest Indiana Soccer Coaches Association boys soccer rankings brought plenty of movement as the regular season heads toward its final stretch, with a new No. 1 in Class 3A and several teams making significant moves throughout the three classifications.
Class 3A: Goshen Returns to No. 1
Goshen is back on top of Class 3A.
After sitting third in last week’s poll, the RedHawks climbed two positions to take over the No. 1 ranking. Bloomington South, which held the top spot a week ago, slips one position to No. 2.
One of the week’s biggest movers is Fishers. The Tigers jump three spots from No. 6 to No. 3, putting them behind only Goshen and Bloomington South.
Castle falls from No. 2 to No. 4, while Zionsville moves down one position to round out the top five.
Evansville Memorial climbs from eighth to sixth, while Hamilton Southeastern drops two positions to No. 7. Noblesville, Fort Wayne Carroll and Columbus North all make three-position jumps to complete the new top 10.
Valparaiso experiences one of the largest drops, falling four positions from No. 7 to No. 11. Concord also falls four spots, moving from No. 10 to No. 14.
Three programs enter the Class 3A Top 20 this week. North Central debuts at No. 16, Cathedral enters at No. 19 and Perry Meridian joins the poll at No. 20.

Race Toward the Postseason Takes Shape
With the calendar moving deeper into September, the ISCA rankings are beginning to provide a clearer picture of the teams to watch heading toward the IHSAA tournament.
Class 3A experienced the most change near the top this week, with Goshen reclaiming No. 1 and Fishers charging into the top three. Class 2A remains much more settled at the top, where Guerin Catholic continues to lead an unchanged top six.
Class 1A also has stability among its leading contenders, as Blackhawk Christian, Faith Christian and Shawe Memorial hold the first three positions for another week.
But the movement further down each poll — including major climbs by Barr-Reeve, Andrean, Southridge, Noblesville, Fort Wayne Carroll and Columbus North — shows there is still plenty that can change before postseason play begins.
