Gustavo Nunes Scores Five as Marian Rolls Past Brescia, 8-1

OWENSBORO, KY. — Marian University’s Gustavo Nunes delivered one of the biggest individual performances of Wednesday’s college soccer action, scoring a career-high five goals as the Knights rolled to an 8-1 road victory over Brescia University.

Nunes was at the center of an offensive explosion for Marian, accounting for five of the Knights’ eight goals in the lopsided victory.

The five-goal outing established a new career high for Nunes and highlighted a dominant road performance for the Knights, who had little trouble finding the back of the net in Owensboro.

Marian’s offense finished the night with eight goals as the Knights overwhelmed the Bearcats and picked up an impressive road victory.
