IU East Earns First W of the Season

IU East picked up its first win of the season with a 3-0 shutout of IU Northwest in Eaton, Ohio.

The Red Wolves got on the board early.

Aiden Billiter opened the scoring in the fifth minute, giving IU East a 1-0 advantage that held through halftime.

IU East then pulled away early in the second half.

In the 49th minute, Filipe Godoi found the back of the net to double the Red Wolves’ advantage at 2-0.

Just seven minutes later, Brody McKinney added another goal in the 56th minute, pushing the lead to 3-0.

IU Northwest was unable to find an answer the rest of the way, as IU East finished off the shutout.

The victory moves IU East to 1-0-1 on the season, while IU Northwest falls to 1-2.
