IU Indy Womens Soccer Blanks Chicago State

IU Indianapolis celebrated Senior Day with its first victory of the season, shutting out Chicago State 3-0.

Senior Caroline Kelley got things started in the fourth minute, earning and then converting a penalty kick.

Kelley turned provider in the 20th minute, assisting Bethany Hartigan, whose long-range strike doubled the advantage.

Then in the 66th minute, Annaliese Black poked home service from Taylor Townley to finish the scoring.

IU Indy set a school record with 38 shots, putting 18 on target.

Black alone attempted 10 shots, with five on frame.

Goalkeeper Isabel Oferosky made three saves while playing the opening 45 minutes, and Sofia Rodriguez handled the second half as the two combined for the clean sheet.
