Mastadons Fall Short to Dayton

Purdue Fort Wayne came up just short on the road Monday night, falling to Dayton, 2-1, at Baujan Field.
The Mastodons struck first in the 14th minute when Brandon Razo scored an unassisted goal to give Purdue Fort Wayne an early 1-nothing advantage.
That lead held through halftime, but Dayton found the equalizer in the 52nd minute. Antonio Pinto scored off an assist from Ransford Gyau, tying the match at one.
The game remained even until the closing minutes.
In the 87th minute, Purdue Fort Wayne surrendered an own goal, putting Dayton in front 2-1.
The Mastodons were unable to find an equalizer over the final minutes as Dayton held on for the victory.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 0-2 on the season and returns home Thursday night to take on Manchester. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM in Fort Wayne.
