Rose Hulman Opens Season With Clean Sheet over Greenville

Rose-Hulman opened the 2026 men’s soccer season in impressive fashion Tuesday night, rolling past Greenville University 4-0 in Terre Haute.

The Fightin’ Engineers needed less than ten minutes to find their first goal of the new season.

At 9:42, sophomore Pace Morel beat his defender on the right side and delivered the ball to junior Ryan Shapiro, who finished the opportunity to put Rose-Hulman in front, 1-0.

The Engineers struck again at 17:25.

Oliver Fila set up Wil Bell, who scored his first goal of the season to double the Rose-Hulman advantage.

The Engineers carried that 2-0 lead into halftime.

Rose-Hulman added to the margin in the second half.

At 62:33, Shapiro found the net for the second time, this time off an assist from Chase Kedzior, giving the junior a brace and putting the Engineers ahead 3-0.

Less than four minutes later, at 66:23, Rose-Hulman added another goal to make it 4-0. The official box score credits that fourth goal as a team goal, so no individual scorer or assist is being assigned.

Ryan Shapiro leads the way with two goals, while Wil Bell adds a goal of his own. Pace Morel, Oliver Fila and Chase Kedzior each pick up assists.

It’s also a clean sheet for the Rose-Hulman defense as the Fightin’ Engineers begin their 2026 campaign 1-0.
