Bethel Stuns Cumberlands in Men’s College Soccer

A major upset in Men’s College Soccer happened on Saturday as the Bethel Pilots stunned the University of the Cumberlands 6-0 in Rio Grande, Ohio.

Felipe Falivene opened the scoring at 23:20, sending Bethel into halftime ahead 1-0. Then the Pilots exploded for five second-half goals.

Luca Canto made it 2-0 at 52:00. Just 92 seconds later, Diego Arrieta scored at 53:32, assisted by Canto.

At 59:43, Sebastian Lopez stretched the advantage to four, with Stephen Nana Tuffour earning the assist.

Falivene struck for his second goal at 69:01, assisted by Miguel Gallegos, before Tomas Franco completed the rout at 83:29, assisted by Roberto Pineda.

Goalkeeper Noa Sontag made five saves to earn the clean sheet.

Bethel outshot Cumberlands 20-10 and improves to 1-1-2, while Cumberlands falls to 1-1-1.
