Butler Lady Bulldogs Return to Win Column

Butler got back into the win column with a dramatic late victory in St. Paul.

St. Thomas struck first in the 10th minute through Izzy McEwan.

But the Bulldogs answered less than a minute later.

In the 11th minute, Chloe Brecht found Lola Pepper, who finished into the upper-left corner for the first goal of her collegiate career.
The match remained tied until the closing minutes.

Butler goalkeeper Addison Ash made two important saves just 90 seconds apart during the 62nd and 63rd minutes.

Then in the 86th minute, Riley Gumm scored an unassisted goal into the upper-left corner. It was also Gumm’s first collegiate goal. Butler protected the lead the rest of the way.

The Bulldogs improve to 2-2-1, and the victory was the 200th career win for Butler co-head coach Tari St. John.
