Earlham Holds Off IU East 2-1 in Battle of Richmond College Men’s Soccer Teams

Earlham College opened its 2026 men’s soccer season with a victory Tuesday evening, knocking off IU East, 2-to-1, in Richmond.

The Quakers grabbed the advantage in the opening half and took a one-goal lead into halftime.

IU East responded after the break and found the equalizer, pulling the match even at one.

But Earlham answered with another second-half goal and made that one stand, earning the 2-to-1 victory in the season opener.

The win moves Earlham to 1-and-0 on the young season.

IU East, meanwhile, comes up just short against its Richmond neighbor in the annual Richmond Darby.
