Indiana Girls Soccer Recap from 8/26

1A #6 Evansville Christian gives South Knox their first loss in girls soccer on the season as the #6 Eagles defeated 1A  #20 South Knox 3-2. For the Eagles, goals came from Ellie Schroeder, Hallie Peter, and Madelynn Ferguson. For the Spartans, saw goals from Azaria Easley and Calissa Lavely.  Evansville Christian’s Abagail Beeler and South Knox’s Layla Thomas each  made 10 saves. 

Knightstown blanks Providence Cristo Rey 5-0 on the pitch. For the 2-0 Panthers, they received a 2 goal effort from Emmalyn McCallister. The Panthers also received goals from Addyson Dyer, Amelia Lykens, and Bridgett Underwood. The loss drops Providence Cristo Rey to 0-3.

3A #10 Lawrenceburg shuts out Switzerland County 1-0 in girls soccer action. For the tigers, their lone goal came from Kori Abbott, on an assist from Karlee Abbott. The Pacers put up just 3 shots in the effort. Lawrenceburg is now  4-0 on the season.

1a #10 Bremen improves to 3-0-1 on the season with a 2-1 victory over Culver. For Bremen, both goals came from Kate Kinkaid in the 18th and 56th minutes. For Culver, their goal was scored by Alexis Gasanovas in the 31st minute. The loss sends Culver to 3-1.
