Six-Goal Second Half Powers No. 12 Grace Past Indiana Tech

WINONA LAKE, Ind. — After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, No. 12 Grace College erupted for six second-half goals Wednesday to roll past Indiana Tech 6-0 and remain unbeaten on the season.

The Lancers improved to 3-0 with the victory, while Indiana Tech fell to 0-3.

Despite controlling much of the action, Grace was unable to break through during the first half. That changed less than two minutes after the restart.

Nora Pollock opened the scoring at 46:53, finishing a chance set up by Abby Hodkin and Hannah Medlin.

Grace needed just 58 seconds to strike again.

At 47:51, Rylee Burns scored off an assist from Annika Finch, quickly doubling the Lancers’ advantage to 2-0.

Finch then went from provider to scorer at 52:22. She found the back of the net with Pollock and Hodkin picking up the assists, giving Grace three goals in the opening 7:22 of the second half.

The offensive surge continued at 58:17 when Audrey Abel scored an unassisted goal to make it 4-0.

Grace added two more in the closing stages. Feline Abbo scored at 74:41 off an assist from Sydney Millen, before Rosalie Gefrorer completed the scoring at 87:20 with Leana Oertel providing the assist.

Grace dominated the statistical battle, outshooting Indiana Tech 26-4 overall and holding a commanding 15-1 advantage in shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Ivy Cline needed just one save to preserve the clean sheet for the Lancers.

Indiana Tech goalkeeper Madison Strain faced constant pressure throughout the match and finished with nine saves despite allowing six goals.
